About
A small studio with a long-term plan.
Elie Studio is an independent game studio developing Pocket Warden, a 2D pixel-art action RPG built for the browser.
The studio
Elie Studio is an independent game studio focused on 2D action RPGs and pixel art. It is led by its founder, who directs design, development and production.
The studio's first project, Pocket Warden, began as a question: how much game can fit into a browser tab? It has grown into a full action RPG with nine heroes, five regions in its main chapter, region bosses, a crafting system and endless challenge modes.
Pocket Warden is still in active development and has not been released yet. This site will be updated as the game moves toward a public release.

How we work
One project, built end to end
Design
Systems, balance and level layouts are designed and documented in-house, then tested in the live build.
Engineering
The game is written in plain JavaScript on HTML5 Canvas: no engine, no install, and it starts in seconds.
Art direction
The studio sets the art direction and curates what ships. See the credits on the game page for third-party assets and attributions.
Current project
Pocket Warden
Pick one of nine heroes and push back the Demon King's armies through forest, graveyard, lava chasm, orc camp and fortress. Combat is real-time and built around reading enemy attacks, dodging through danger and breaking bosses in multiple phases. Between runs you return to a living village to forge gear, take quests and prepare for the next push.
